10 most expensive players ipl 2014


Yuvraj Singh( $2.3M ): Following unsuccessful spells at Kings XI Punjab and Pune Warriors, the batsman was bought by RCB this year. A limited-overs cricket genius, Singh is the most expensive player of IPL 2014


Dinesh Karthik ($2M) - Returning to the Delhi Daredevils after winning IPL6 with Mumbai Indians, the wicket-keeper batsman was among the top run scorers of IPL6.



Kevin Pietersen ($1.47M) - The exiled England batsman will return to the Daredevils after missing IPL6 with injury. Pieterson will be vital to his team's chances this year.


Mitchell Johnson ($1M) - Johnson is one of the most fearsome bowlers in the world. The Aussie quick picked up 24 wickets last season to help Mumbai to the title. Johnson will now play for Kings IX Punjab.


Glenn Maxwell ($980,000) - Maxwell was the most expensive player in 2013, but was snatched by KIXP in this year


Jacques Kallis ($900,000) - Th great all-rounder has retired from the international scene and will spend his IPL season with KKR.


David Warner ($900,000) - After five seasons with Delhi Daredevils, the batsman was bought by Sun Risers Hyderabad in 2014.


Murali Vijay ($820,000) - The talented batsman was bought by the Delhi Daredevils in 2014.


Robin Uthappa ($820,000) - The right-hand batsman was bought by KKR this year following his brilliant display in 2013 edition.


Mitchell Starc ($820,000) - Tall, fast and skillful, Starc is one of the most exciting young fast bowlers in Australia. He will line up for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
