Dulquer Salmaan plays the role of Karthik and new face Malavika Mohan, daughter of Bollywood cinematographer K. U. Mohanan, appears as Riya. Archana Kavi, Anoop Menon, Lalu Alex, Jayaprakash, Seetha, Leema Babu, Shraddha Gokul, Nandhu and Ilavarasu play supporting roles. The film commenced its production in June 2013 and was mainly shot from Alappuzha in Kerala and Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu.
